Writing an original song for a novel
My latest novel, A Rainbow Like You, comes with a bonus song of the same title.
Many books have lyrics written in them, but I always knew this book needed the full meal deal: an actual, real song.
I’m a huge music buff and have always been fascinated by the creation of songs. I’d never written one before, and bringing it to life with a producer was a top five, life-changing experience! I’m so proud of the tune and that I never gave up on it…even in the darkest hour of finding a singer to portray my main character.
The million dollar question:
PS The song debuted on US radio in January 2021 and it was so cool to hear it on the airwaves.
