An award-winning writer, Andréa’s work has been honoured by The Independent Publisher Book Awards (silver fiction prize), showcased on NPR, Sirius XM and US television, short-listed for the WIBA literary award through the Writer’s Guild of Canada, and recognized by publishing veterans, including Writer’s Digest and Publisher’s Weekly. Her second novel, A Rainbow Like You, was named a Best BC Book of 2020 five weeks after publication.

In addition to writing, Andréa is also an award-winning TV Producer, and has delivered over 200 TV commercials, series and movies for Fortune 500 companies, global networks and the world’s biggest brands.

She’s decided two award-winning careers are enough.😍

Voted “Most Original” in high school, she’ll go down bleeding living up to that distinction. No surprise then, she loves unconventional characters and circumstances with a dash of wild and crazy.

Oh…and she never met a margarita she didn’t like.

What I Dream About…

Living in a dream state is a large part of my daily existence! Aside from characters, plots and journeys, these are the top five things taking up my brain space.

1) My next travel destination – Nothing excites me more than new experiences. 2023 starts with a bang and a helluva long flight to Australia. I am a huge tennis fan and the Aussie Open is one of two Grand Slams left on my agenda. G’day mates!

2) Food – I live for eating and trying new recipes. I like challenging myself with multi-step affairs such as cassoulet or Beijing duck. 99% of the time things work out, but even the disasters end up being tasty in their own way!

3) Music – My stereo (Spotify) is a daily thing. Yes, I play certain songs to death (as evidenced by the 2022 year-end wrap-up Spotify provided) but I also love exploring new genres. Every week I find a song and I think to myself “How did I go this long without knowing it?”

4) How to give back – Being a creative soul is incredibly satisfying. Many writers approach me to ask for advice and I share my knowledge freely. This is not to say I have all the answers, because every writer has their own journey. But if I can offer a helpful nugget to another creative, that it what this life is all about!

5) Fashion – Oh to be a runway model! I love clothes and almost went bankrupt in Milan last year. window shopping. The Europeans have it dialed! Sprezzatura!
